Ms. Alex Mulner

Greetings! My name is Alex Ann Mulner. I am excited to begin my 2nd year as the Teacher Counsellor for Agnes Davidson and Park Meadows Elementary.

I am a relationship based counsellor who believes in a student centered approach to working with kids in school. Building relationships and making connections is important for childhood development and success. Research indicates that forming healthy relationships will help improve our day to day lives and improve our mental, emotional and physical health.

Every child has a special need, whether seen or unseen. I strive to be reflective and am constantly looking for strengths and working towards building on them. I believe that positive change occurs in a nurturing, trusting environment. It is important to understand that change can often be slow but with student centered goals and a positive relationship it is possible to create an environment that fosters growth by understanding the potential of each unique student. 

I value a families confidentiality and understand how important it is to work with not only the child, but the whole family. I connect with teachers, outside agencies and administration to assist all students in reaching their potential in school and beyond.
