Science and Heritage Fair 2023

Science and Heritage Fair is back in full force!  Last year, we had a condensed version of our Science and Heritage Fair to allow for Covid regulations.

This year, we are back in full force.  This is open to all students in Kindergarten through Grade 5.  The project can either be Science based or Heritage Based.  All students will be judged, however, students in kindergarten through grade 3 present their projects to one of our judges while students in Grades 4 and 5 also present to the judges but there is first, second, and third place winners.  Those students who place in our science fair are encouraged to attend Science Fusion at the University held at the end of March.  Often the winners of the Heritage Fair are invited to the Galt museums Heritage Fair although details of that are yet to be published.  These projects are to be completed at home and although we encourage the help of parents, it is a project for the students to showcase their interests and learning.

This is an optional opportunity for the students.

Consent Forms are due back to megan.cummins@lethsd.ab.ca by Friday Feb. 3rd

Projects will be due at the school on Tuesday, March 7

Judging taking place on Wednesday, March 8 in the afternoon.

Projects will need to be taken home after school on Thursday, March 9 or Friday, March 10.

Classes will also have the opportunity to visit the various projects throughout these three days.
