What is important to note is that this coverage is "second" payer. This means if the parents have benefits through their employer, there insurance would cover first before the student blanket coverage would kick in. This insurance is helpful for those individuals with no coverage or insurance that may be inadequate to cover needs.
There is also the opportunity for parents to purchase enhanced coverage between $17 to $33 per year. This is optional coverage a parent my choose to purchase. This is good for students who may be involved in more sporting activities. Information and benefit forms may be accessed here.
