My name is Meagan Thorlakson, I am going into my third year as the music teacher at Agnes Davidson. I am originally from Fort St. John, BC, but moved to Lethbridge for University as soon as I graduated high school. I completed my Bachelor of Music in 2015 with bass clarinet as my primary instrument and went straight into my Bachelor of Education and graduated in 2017. In my time here there have been some really amazing events in the music program including some great grade-level assembly performances, a wonderful Christmas Concerts, and lots of fun events for fundraising. In the fall of 2018 we also won the CBC Music Class Challenge and have been continuing to build funds off of that to revitalize our instrument collection. In my spare time I sing with the Incanto Singers, play with the Lethbridge Symphony, spend time in downtown Lethbridge, and get to the mountains as often as possible (summer or winter)! I’m looking forward to a great third year at Agnes Davidson!
