Welcome to our Library Learning Commons Page. Our Library Learning Commons is becoming a new and improved space which will enhance the learning opportunities of the students at Davidson. We are so excited of the new possiblities this space is affording the school community. The library Learning Commons is open during the school day when a student is accompagnied by a staff member. Students can access the space with the discretion of his or her classroom teacher. However, as a class, the students will be visiting the space for book exchange every other week.
The borrowing policies in the library learning commons are up to the discretion of the teachers. However the general policies are as follows
Kindergarten - 1 or 2 books; book must be returned before others are borrowed. French Immersion students will alternate weekly selections between French and English books.
Grades 1 and 2 - up to 2 books per week; books must be returned before others are borrowed. Types and language of books are determined by the student's teacher.
Grades 3, 4 and 5 - up to 4 books per week, depending on borrowing record; books must be present to be renewed; books must be renewed or returned before more are borrowed. Types and language of books are determined by the student's teacher.
Destiny is the on-line card catalogue system Agnes Davidson and the Lethbridge School District utilizes to manage the resources. You may access this data bank from any computer to check the availability of any required materials.
